Warm, inviting and contemporary pub fit for the modern pub-goer.
The Tap is a unique Victorian curved building dating back to 1862, and sits on the banks of the river Derwent. The interior is fit for the modern pub-goer with a relaxing atmosphere and friendly and polite staff.
There is a pleasant beer garden and the sun-trap of a roof terrace which both provide an intimate space for those warmer days.
Owned and ran by the Derby Brewing Company the pub was saved from demolition in 2008.
Serving food and a fine selection of ales, ciders and cheeses the Tap is a fantastic place to enjoy an after work drink or as part of your Friday and Saturday night plans.
TIP: Try a taster board with 5 ales and a cheese bowl, or like I do, have the cheese bowl on its own.
