From apprentices to full time employees, growing Derby PR agency appoints two new Account Executives
PR and communications agency Nielsen McAllister has hired two full-time team members after successfully completing their PR apprenticeships, reinforcing the agency’s commitment to developing industry talent.
Alice Blackwell joins as an account executive after gaining her diploma in PR and communications from the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA). She brings valuable expertise following a year and a half of hands-on experience in technical Business to Business (B2B) PR and over five years in digital marketing.
Alice said: “I am delighted to join Nielsen McAllister and make the move to Derby. I love combining my skills and experience with my creative approach to PR and I’m looking forward to applying this to my new role.”
Alongside Alice’s appointment, Rory Hay has stepped into a full-time role following the completion of his digital marketing apprenticeship at Nielsen McAllister and supported by local training providers Althaus.
Rory said: “During my time as an apprentice at Nielsen McAllister, I've had the opportunity to develop my skills across social media, content creation and digital strategy in a fast-paced B2B environment. It’s been a rewarding experience, and I’ve loved getting hands-on with campaigns that make a real impact.
“I’m excited to now be stepping into my role as a digital marketing executive, where I can continue to build on what I’ve learned and take Nielsen McAllister and our many clients’ digital presence even further!”
With a strong track record of investing in apprenticeships, Nielsen McAllister continues to recognise their importance in shaping the next generation of PR professionals.
Simon Wildash, managing director at Nielsen McAllister said, “It’s a pleasure to welcome Alice to the team and to see Rory complete his apprenticeship after 18 months’ studies with us. His progression within the agency is another example of our commitment to nurturing talent through both structured apprenticeship programs and providing opportunities for recent graduates. We hope they both have successful and long careers with us and become the future leaders of our industry.”
