Derby’s best-loved retail and leisure destination, Derbion, has announced that award-winning doughnut company, Doughnotts, is set to open at the centre this week.
The much-loved, local, independent doughnut company will open a brand-new kiosk on Level 1 of Derbion on Thursday 27 July, at 9am.
The menu will feature the brand’s famous, big fluffy doughnuts, and sweet-toothed shoppers will be able to indulge in an array of mouth-watering flavours from the new kiosk including Lotus Biscoff, Red Velvet and Homer – the iconic doughnut based on Homer Simpson’s favourite treat.
To celebrate the opening, the Nottingham-founded firm will be giving away a free salted caramel doughnut to the first 50 customers on its opening day (Thursday 27 July), as well as on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 July.
Doughnotts was established by co-directors Wade Smith and Megan Scaddan in 2015, after the pair decided to make some doughnuts at home in Megan’s mums’ kitchen, using ingredients costing just £10 and a wok. Over the past eight years, Doughnotts has grown into an iconic brand, and the new Derbion kiosk will be its 10th branch to open.
The Doughnotts kiosk join’s Derbion’s impressive string of food and drink brands, including recent arrivals Popeyes®, Burger & Sauce and Mexican street-food brand Tortilla, with more new kiosk arrivals set to be announced over the coming weeks.
