Derby-based PR and communications specialist, Nielsen McAllister has appointed two new University of Derby graduates, Mitchell Lakin and Tom Starkey, as Account Executives to better support its growing client base while strengthening its bonds with its local university.
After graduating with an MA in Publishing and completing his previous role at Car Charged UK, Mitchell is well-acquainted with the city of Derby and curating business-to-business content. He is excited to grow a longstanding career in the PR and communications industry.
While studying for his Creative Writing and Publishing degree, Tom worked for the University’s GDPR department, issuing professional legal responses. He brings a passionate approach to building engaging PR copy.
Mitchell said, “I was amazed by Nielsen McAllister's worldwide client list. I had no idea a comms specialist of this range was based in my local city. Each client has new learning to offer, and I’m already applying and improving the skills from my degrees."
“Everyone at Nielsen McAllister is so friendly, funny and helpful, and I’m delighted to be part of the team,” Tom commented.
Mitchell and Tom are being mentored and inducted by the whole team and are quickly brought up to speed on Nielsen McAllister’s client base. As a business-to-business PR and communications specialist, the agency assists companies in print, packaging and logistics sectors.
Managing Director Simon Wildash said: “We are pleased to welcome Mitchell and Tom to the Nielsen McAllister team.
As the agency continues to grow, its expertise in writing and publishing will strengthen the quality of content we provide to our clients, supporting the ongoing expansion of our portfolio.”
